Data You Give Us Directly
The search forms on this site send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party search provider that supplies the results. We do not store a separate copy of your searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them only to answer your message.
Data Collected Automatically
Like most websites, the hosting system records standard server-log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the site and see which pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use the data described above to run the site, resolve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell visitor lists. We also do not build profiles of individual users.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to government portals, Humboldt County and California records offices, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each outside site has its own privacy policy, and information you submit there is governed by that site's rules, not ours. That is especially important for sponsored search results, which are provided by a third-party company.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Because we do not offer user accounts, there is no account password or site profile of yours to expose here.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a website holds about you. California residents may also use privacy resources from the California Privacy Protection Agency, including the CPPA data broker registry and DROP, the Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, for data brokers covered by California law. Because we hold very little, most requests are narrow: we can search our contact mailbox and server logs and remove what we find. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by the City of Eureka, Humboldt County, California courts, or state agencies are outside our control; requests about those records must go to the custodian office under rules such as the California Public Records Act, Gov. Code section 7920.000 et seq.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
